Golden Haven is a licensed home for five in Lakeville, Minnesota. Your own room, your own routine, and people who know your name. Assisted living that never stops feeling like home.
Why Golden Haven
Most assisted living means being one of dozens. Long hallways. Shift changes. A call button, and a wait. A schedule someone else made. We looked at all of that and built the other thing. One house. Five residents. Never more. Few enough that the people caring for you know your name, your story, and how you take your coffee. Small is not a limit here. It is the entire point. When a home is this size, no one gets lost in it.
Your life, your way
Moving into care should never mean handing over the parts of your day that make you, you. Here, help is something you choose, not something imposed.
A private space that is truly yours. Your things, your quiet, your door that closes.
Wake when you wake. Eat what you like. Spend the day your way. We fit around you.
Help with what you want help with, and independence in everything else. Dignity is not up for negotiation.
A day here
Not a brochure list. The real shape of an ordinary day at Golden Haven.
Coffee is ready when you are, made the way you like it. Breakfast comes from the kitchen down the hall, not a tray on a cart. If you slept in, that is fine. The day waits for you.
Your medications are handled and explained, never a guessing game. The van takes you to an appointment if you have one. The porch is there if you would rather a quiet afternoon. Someone trained is always nearby, and because there are five of you and not fifty, they notice the moment something changes.
Dinner is at the table together, if you want the company. Or in your room, if you would rather have the quiet. Then your own bed, in your own room, in a house that has started to feel like yours. The choice, like most things here, stays yours.
Everything, handled
The tasks that used to weigh on your day are covered, so your days can be yours again.
Someone trained is awake and here every hour of the day, with a registered nurse a phone call away.
Tracked, given on time, and explained whenever you ask. Nothing left to chance.
Your own room and your own door, with support close by only when you want it.
Help with bathing, dressing, and getting around, offered with dignity and only where you need it.
Real food cooked in the kitchen, with choices, served at the table or in your room.
A wellness plan built around you, and days with something to look forward to.
The van gets you to appointments, errands, and outings. You stay part of the world.
Patient, personalized support that respects who you are and where you come from.
The cleaning and the laundry are handled. You never carry that load again.
See it in person
Photos can show you a house. They can't show you how it feels to stand in the kitchen while dinner is cooking, or how the light comes through the windows in the afternoon. Come visit. Walk the rooms, meet us, and see if it feels like home to you.
For the people who love you
The hardest part of this choice is often not yours. It is the people who love you, wondering if you will be safe, if you will be lonely, if anyone will really see you. Here, they get their answer the moment they walk in. A real home, a small one, where you are known. They visit whenever they like. And they finally sleep at night. Peace of mind, for all of you.
For case managers & social workers
You place people you are accountable for. Golden Haven gives you a licensed, compliant home that communicates, documents properly, and holds the placement, so you are not managing a bounce-back.
